Our program committee brings exceptional guest speakers and events to each of our meetings, introducing our members to innovative techniques, and ways to utilize quilting as a medium. Our guest speakers represent regions across Canada, and internationally. We also encourage our members to showcase their skills by sharing their quilting journey and experiences . Details about the guest speaker for each monthly meeting will be highlighted on our homepage, along with links to their websites, when available. As well as in the monthly newsletter.
The Stitch and Share group meets from 1pm - 3pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month from September to June, in the meeting room at the Orangeville Library ( Mill St Location). All guild members are welcome to this group for casual socializing and sharing - bringing hand work to do is optional. (There is a nominal cost)
The QBA (Quilting by Association) Committee provides workshops created by members for members. This program allows guild members to teach one another, sharing valuable insights and techniques gleaned from patterns, workshops, or even YouTube. The QBA workshops are held on the first Saturday of each month via Zoom, enabling you to learn and engage from the comfort of your own home.
Creative Projects reflect a broad approach to fun quilting projects that members can do at their own pace. Information and instructions will be included each month in the newsletter, and personal guidance will be available. Members will be encouraged to bring their finished projects to Show 'n Tell at the meetings. The 2025-26 season will feature several small items.
The Guild hosts two weekend retreats in the fall and spring as well as two one day local retreats held at the Orangeville Seniors Centre. The upcoming seasons retreats are as follows:
